How it works

Medical forms are scanned, encrypted and transmitted through a secure wide area network (WAN). Optical character recognition software receives the medical forms, interprets the data contained and delivers this data to a proprietary coding engine developed by Crosspoint Technologies. The coding engine automatically responds to the requestor with the form’s coding status and other critical details. The system also contains a medical record image management system that provides a secure environment where Practice Velocity can more easily and rapidly access patients’ medical images.

The return

Human involvement is limited to the time it takes to load a document onto the scanner, typically five seconds. The system completely eliminates coding backlogs and makes healthcare organizations more profitable. Currently, Practice Velocity uses the solution within its network of clients.
